Hi all,
I have a dataset that has a few tables that refresh via a connector to a platform called Smartsheet and a few tables that use a gateway connection to a SQL database. Recently some of the columns in the Smartsheet source were changed and now the whole dataset will not refresh. Is it possible to configure the dataset so that even if the tables that are associated with Smartsheet have errors, the tables from the SQL database still refresh? Right now it seems like if one table or relationship has an issue, none of the dataset refreshes. Maybe that is the way it should be but I was curious if there are other options.

no. Once a refresh breaks for anything, it stops everything. This preserves the integrity of the dataset so wrong results aren't reported, just stale results. I highly recommend you read this Power Query Pitfall series (10 posts) that will help you manage this in Power Query, returning the results you want even if columns disappear or change names, or a number of other things that frequently cause a refresh to fail.
