Hi all,
I need some serious help as I've tried it for 2 weeks and I am still failing.
I have two data sources,
1. SQL Database
2. Excel File (Stored in onedrive folder, locally)
I have built the visualization and published the dashboard but I am unable to set-up automatic refresh.
As you can see setup and mapped the gateway for my SQL database source, however I am not able to apply it(probably because the excel source has not been mapped).
I with Data source type as file, web sharepoint by amending the underlying source in Power BI desktop and republishing it again. But whatever I do, it doesn't seem to work.
Please help me

Hey @shekhar_shres ,
it looks like the data source is missing in the gateway.
Does it exist in the gateway?
I am wondering why don't you access the excel in the OneDrive online version. From my personal experience that's easier than the gateway:
Use OneDrive for Business links in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
Hi @shekhar_shres ,
If you connect to the files located in OneDrive for Business , you need to use Web connector, pay attention to steps detail: Use OneDrive for Business links in Power BI Desktop.
If your dataset contains not only cloud data source (such as OneDrive for Business ) but also the on premise data source, you need install and configure data gateway, and add the web data sources to gateway. For the Data Source Type, you need to choose Web. See more:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-data-sources#add-a-data-source.
You also need to select Allow user's cloud data sources to refresh through this gateway cluster option Under Gateway Cluster Settings. See: Merge or append on-premises and cloud data sources.

You need to set up the excel sourc in gateway . Just click on the button configure and add new source.
