I have a dataset that contains several years of history. For the purposes of this specific need, the requirement is to create a file each morning with a rolling prior week's worth of data.
Fields in the simple output report will include*:
Date | Location | Measure 1 | Measure 2 | Measure 3 | Measure 4
* file is not pipe delimited, pipes used as separators for demonstration purpose only
Question 1:
How to include a rolling prior 7 day filter into the data set when creating the report in Report Builder.
Question 2:
After publishing report to Power BI Service, generate .csv output for the morning file.
Question 3:
Schedule the .csv output file to push to an ftp location.
Had initially created this report in Power BI Service incorporating the "Relative Date" filter function. It was only when I went to schedule the daily file delivery that I realized output to .csv was not an option...and further complicated that push to an ftp location was not going to be an option either.
