My suspicion is that it is the Live connection that is tripping you up. I have never had a problem with this on imported data. If I had to guess, Publish to Web is not supported for live connections.

Hi @Yael,

You connect live to Analysis Services Tablular hosted on premises, right? If it is, publish to the web is limited for the data resource. Please review the limitations in this official blog.

Publish to web is supported for the vast majority of data sources and reports in the Power BI service, however, the following are not currently supported or available with Publish to web:

1. Reports using row level security.

2. Reports using Analysis Services Tablular hosted on premises.

3. Reports shared to you directly or through an organizational content pack.

4. Reports in a group in which you are not an edit member.

5. "R" Visuals are not currently supported in Publish to web reports.

I'm actually connecting live to Tabular, but the Analysis Services Tablular is hosted on Azure.

Can I publish to the web when connecting with this option?
