Problema con compartir Reporte (Público)

Hola.

Hi , @JavierHdezIcbf

Thanks for your quick response ! So the two users both the "Viewer" in this workspace . And they also have the Free license .

And for your situation, you can check and i have some questions about it :
(1)If the one of the user have the Pro trail or the other trail license? And the two users are all your internal users?
(2)In this workspace ,dose it combine a premium capacity?Like P sku?
(3)And we can see the end user viewed the report with the url :

vyueyunzhmsft_0-1692928333231.png

The url here contains the reportEmbed , so what the method you share this report to the end user ? Dose it the secutity embed or others?

(4)So , when the two users directly open the report in the workspace instead of the embed url , will they encounter the same error code?

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

Best Regards,

Hi , @JavierHdezIcbf

According to your description, when you view the reports and dasboards  in the workspace , you encounter the error code "To view this report, please request access from the author".

First, a dashboard is bound to multiple reports, and a report is associated with a dataset, but this dataset can be the current workspace or other workspaces. Both the dashboard and the data in the report come from the dataset. So if you do not have permission to a certain dataset, you may encounter this error message.

So I guess your situation is because your report and dashboard are associated with a dataset in another workspace, which leads to the lack of permissions for some data. You can find "View linage" in the Settings of the corresponding report and dashboard to check whether the associated datasets have read permissions, or there are RLS configurations for some datasets.

Hola.
Agradezco tu ayuda.

Hi , @JavierHdezIcbf

Thanks for your quick response !According to your description, do you mean your customer can view the report normally but still pop up the error code "To view this report, request access to the author"?

And your customers are all the roles in this workspace and the dataset is in this also . By another , you also check the RLS.

If this , this is wired. I think you can click the "F12" button in your Power BI Service and open the developer tool for the browser.

And you can use the "Network" trace and reproduce your issue and see if there is a https trace return this error code ?

And dose this situation just happen in this week ? And all the reports or dashboards encounter this error code or just one ?

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

Hi, @JavierHdezIcbf

Thanks for your quick reponse !According to your screenshot , it seems you are using the security embed url to view the reoport.

And when you login the user , the https retrun code is 401.

Generally speaking, 401 means that the user does not have permission. You need to check what permissions the user is missing that is causing the problem.

And you said that you did not encounter an error message under the situation of "Estos errors no se ven cuando ingreso con un usuario espejo". I don't quite understand what operation you are referring to here?

And you said that this user is a Free license, then you need to check what workspace the dataset of the report you shared is located in. If the workspace is not above the P SKU, the user must have a Pro license to access the report.

Secondly, you can also compare other users who have successfully accessed without error and whether there is any difference between this user?

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!
