Paginated report migration

Is there a way to migrate paginated report from one workspace to another and re-point the report to different dataset as a source? I did not find a way to parametrize connection details (as could be done for regular PBI reports).

Even in PBI report builder on a desktop, switching source to a dataset in another workspace doesn't work - report still looking for original dataset.

Edit the .RDL file as needed.  Remember you can also import .RDL into workspaces.

Editing RDL is not really clean approach for SDLC. Plus, I guess it is trial and error to figure out what actually needs to replaced in RDL to make it work .

I now found that I can use APIs to switch datasource for paginated reports
