Optimal manner to organize a Power BI demo for the sales personnel use

Hi,

I'd like to organize a Power BI demo to deliver to sales personnel in order to promote this technology.

The sales personnel hasn't more technical competence and I'd like to accomplish a low cost solution.

It could be useful:

  • an unique and specific free Power BI account to provide to the entire personnel, or
  • to have a publishing environment for a local machine that simulates the Power BI service (but a such feature doesn't exist), or
  • to create a pptx presentation with some report screenshots losing the interactive user experience.,
  • another solution.

If possible, I would avoid that the sales personnel has to do a login operation.
Any suggests to me please? Thanks

Hi, @pm_scorca

Depending on your needs, try to avoid salespeople performing login operations. The best way to present is definitely to present a live Power BI report page. As soon as you add a live Power BI report page to PowerPoint, you can start interacting with your data just as you would in Power BI.

Please refer to the following methods:

Add a live Power BI report page to PowerPoint:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-power-bi-powerpoint-add-in-view-...

Hi, @Anonymous

If you want the presentation to be a static view of a Power BI report, you can try exporting the report to PDF or PPT. Exporting to PDF  or PPT is the ways to share or print reports.

Export your Power BI report to PDF:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/consumer/end-user-pdf?tabs=powerbi-service#export-to-pdf-from-the-power-bi-service

Export your Power BI report to PowerPoint:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/end-user-powerpoint#export-your-power-bi-report-to-powerpoint

Another way to present is to add a live Power BI report page to a PowerPoint slide. With the "Share" option, get the report page URL and paste it into the Power BI add-in in PowerPoint. Once the report is loaded, it is active and you can select data on demand.

Add a live Power BI report page to PowerPoint:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-power-bi-powerpoint-add-in-install?tabs=share

Ok, but I've asked about an optimal manner to organize a demo following the posted requirements and not simply a manner to do a demo.

Thanks
