Multiselect slicer becoming single select radio buttons on published report

I have some strange behavior with a dropdown slicer.

In the desktop app, it is set to multi-select with CTRL + click option enabled (this is desired).

In the desktop app the dropdown slicer correctly shows check boxes and allows for CTRL + Click to multi select items, however when the dashboard is published and accessed via a browser, the dropdown shows items in radio button style and multi-select is not possible.

Things I have tried:

1. Enabling Single Select, saving, publishing, then changing back to multi-select and saving and publishing

2. Deleting the slicer and recreating is

The results of my tests are normal and cannot reproduce your scene.

Is your Power BI Desktop up to date, and if not, update it to the latest version.

Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center

You can clear the cache on your browser, log back in or click the reset button above to clear the filter.

Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data. We can better understand the problem and help you.

Best Regards,

Liu Yang
