Mapping on PBIX does not match what is published

I have created a dashboard on my PBIX where I have used the Map Visual to portray geo location of data.

The PBIX file presents all of the bubbles and their relevant size and color perfectly. When I publish the dashboard to the PowerBI cloud, the major bubble on the map disappears...

I have tried uninstalling PBI Desktop and installing the latest version but there is no resolve.

Please assist urgently as this is a very troubling issue.

Hi PaulPed,

Based on my test, I created a report in Power BI desktop version 2.54.4970.961 64-bit (January 2018).After I published the report to power bi service, the map works fine. See:

Map Visual in desktop:

After publishing to Service:

You can use my PBIX file to test https://www.dropbox.com/s/d5bewt88gsp4emr/Map_Visual.pbix?dl=0 on your desktop and then publish to service. If the report works on your side, please share you pbix file with us.

Best Regards,

Jimmy Tao
