HI @v-henryk-mstf,

thanks for the response but does this applies also to app.powerbi.com webpage. I totally agree that this would really make sense for PowerBI Desktop but for a web application I would assume its issue on Microsoft side

Kind regards,

Jozef

Hi @JozefDropco ,

If you're getting an error when trying to connect to Dremio Software in Power BI, it is likely due to an issue with the ODBC driver that is used to connect to Dremio. The specific error message you're seeing indicates that the ODBC driver could not be loaded due to a system error.

To fix this issue, you can try the following steps:

  • 1 Check the ODBC driver installation: Make sure the ODBC driver for Dremio is installed correctly on your system. You can do this by checking the installation folder for the ODBC driver (typically C:\app\ODBC Drivers\Simba Drill ODBC Driver) and making sure the driver files are present and not corrupted.
  • 2 Check the ODBC driver configuration: Make sure the ODBC driver is configured correctly in your system. You can do this by opening the ODBC Data Source Administrator (typically located in Control Panel > Administrative Tools) and checking the configuration of the Dremio ODBC driver.
  • 3 Check for system issues: There may be other system-level issues that are preventing the ODBC driver from being loaded. You can try restarting your system and checking for any updates or other issues that may be affecting the ODBC driver.

If you continue to have trouble, you may want to try contacting Dremio support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional guidance or help you troubleshoot any specific issues you're encountering.

Best Regards,
Henry
