Display authenticated images in a table in dashboard

We have a sql server table with urls to images in one of the columns. Is there a way to have powerbi to post a key or user/pass when it issues the get for the image url?

Hey @Anonymous,

the short answer is - no.

You might consider relocating the images to an Azure blob store and use Azure Active Directory for authentication authentication.

If the images are not large you can also consider storing the images inside your SQL Server as an encoded string. This article explains how this can be used inside Power BI: Embedding Images in Power BI using Base64 – Some Random Thoughts (sqljason.com)

Hopefully, this provides some ideas on how to tackle your challenge.

Regards,

Tom
