Creating paginated report with PowerBI datasource

Hi guys,

I am creating paginated reports with a PowerBi datasource.

The process is extremely slow. Opening the query designer, defining the parameters, executing the DAX take ages. When using the Power BI Desktop with the same Power BI dataset the performance is fine.

Is there something that I can do to speed up the Report Builder when using Power BI dataset?

Thanks

You already provided the answer. Work with the dataset copy that is provided by your local Power BI desktop (make sure desktop is running, use DAX Studio to infer the port number etc) and then when you are finished with your development work switch your datasource to the cloud dataset.

Thanks, I was hoping there was an easier way as getting the pbix file is sometimes impossible (when working in a corporate enviroment)
