Connect dataflow to dataset

Is there a way to connect a dataflow to an existing dataset? We have a data set that we refresh manually because it accesses some apis that are not accessible through a gateway.  I would like to use this dataset in a dataflow.  Anyway to do this?

Based on my test, it is not supported yet currently. You can come up a new idea about that and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
