App created does not show in App list for the workspace users

Hello,

I published an App that I can see. But other users do not see it in the app list. Those users are already Workspace users where the App was created. Can you help?

I have published several Apps before and they all work well. This is the first one I am having issue.

Thank you,

Xin

Hi @xli53051

Can you confirm that users belong to a particular app audience. I would also recommend removing the users from the app workspace roles and see if that also allows them to see the app?

Thank you for your response.

By default, the App added Workspace users with audiences "All". I tried adding the user with user email and Audiences [App name] but the user did not show in the Direct Access. I guess it's because the user already had a Workspace role.

I also created a brand new test workspace, published the Power BI report, and created the App. Here I did not give the user a Workspace role. I only added the user under Direct access to the App. The user still cannot see the App in the App list.

I will see what I can try tomorrow.

Thank you,
Xin

Today, the user without workspace role was able to see the App. For the user who has a workspace role, I had to remove the role, add the user to direct access to the app, then re-added the user's workspace role. I do need the user to have the workspace role to be able to manage app permissions.

All is working now. thanks.
