Hi,
I have a paginated repport works perfectly with report builder, but once i publish the report on service it gives "Query execution failed for dataset" as error message, which is quite difficult to understand.
I got a license pro and i'm the owner of the workspace, so there's no permissions issue.
Does someone have this error before ? Any ideals ?
Thanks a lot !
Hi @Yi_WEI ,
You need a Power BI Pro license to publish a report to the service. You can publish and share paginated reports in your My Workspace or in app workspaces, as long as the workspace is in a Power BI Premium capacity. Also, a Power BI admin needs to enable paginated reports in the Premium capacities section of the Power BI admin portal.
For the initial release of paginated reports in the Power BI service, you create embedded data sources and datasets in the report itself. For now, you can't use shared data sources or shared datasets. You create reports in Report Builder on your local computer. If a report connects to on-premises data, after you upload the report to the Power BI service, you need to create a gateway and redirect the data connection.
In addition, you may check the points below.

Hi @v-luwang-msft,
Thanks for your help !
For more informations, i have 3 reports who connect with the same powerbi report dataset and these 3 raports are in the same workspace.
One of them can be rendred on powerbi service, which can prove that the data resource / Power BI Premium capacity / license pro are not the reason for this error.
I've tried to import the dataset marked in the error message (Query execution failed for dataset) into another blank report but it still cannot be rendred on powerbi service. (But it works on my computer)
