I have pointed a Power BI dashboard to a table in excel, and between refreshes, the table grows by a few dozen or hundred rows. When I first linked the excel workbook, the table had less than 50,000 rows, but now it has more. However, when I pull in the data, the message I see tells me that 49,999 rows have been loaded. The table size in Power BI is shown as 49,999 rows. The actual excel table that it's pointed to has 50,769 rows. See below: the table of concern is DataActuals.
Does this mean that it is cutting off the data at row 49,999? Why would it do this, and how can I make sure the size of the query increases when the table's rows increase between refreshes?
Note: The other error in the photo below is something we are working to fix, but it isn't major and shouldn't affect this query.
Thank you in advance!
Hi @mpitz ,
To my knowledge, there is no row limit when import data to Power BI Desktop.
You may have done some filters in Power Query , please follow @freginier 's suggestion to share some transformation steps on your side. (in M syntax or share the Applied steps).
