power bi pass slicer value as query parameter

hi is it possible to pass slicer value selected by end user  to power query? i dont want to load full list of data as it seems to be huge

Hi @jinuelsa ,

 

Slicer works on visual level, it will not filter the underlying data. You could create a query parameter and use it to filter data when you loading data.

Hi Amit,

 

Dynamic M paramater work only when we use direct query. We have source data as power bi dataset.

Exceptation is the paramater set in power query need to be added in slicer and shown to user to select  it power bi service, or in anyway end user who as only viewer access should be able to change the values of paramater. please advise

I'm facing the same problem; have you been able to solve it @NikNithiy  ?
