in CRM SQL DB, convert UTC to User's Local Timezone

I have a Dynamics CRM database (On-Premise), where I would like to retrieve Activities (Appointment, Task...), these time entries are saved as UTC timezone.

How can I show them in Power BI in the timezone of the user Owning these activities?

Your support is so much appreciated.

Best regards,

Hayman

Hi @haymanezzeldin,

To convert UTC date to local timezone, you can use DateTime.AddZone function which adds the timezonehours as an offset to the input datetime value and returns a new datetimezone value. Then, use DateTimeZone.SwitchZone function to change the timezone information for the input DateTimeZone.

Here is a similar thread, please refer to it for detailed steps: Convert UTC to client time zones?

By the way, to change the locale settings in Power BI desktop, please refer to: Choose the locale of a report in Power BI Desktop
