Why do you use Slicers over the Filter Pane?

Both are used, but in general Slicers are significantly more popular than the Filter Pane as the 'main' way of filtering in reports.  Including among experienced report creators. 

For those that do - why do you prefer Slicers?

• In terms of usage, data is generally categorized, and filter pane is often used to categorize large categories, often using less adjustment of large categories. slicer is different, it is more convenient, often used to filter small categories.
• It is more frequently used, and all designs are definitely user-friendly.

So I prefer to use slicer.

@mmace1 i also prefer to use slicers over the filter pane. it gives more flexibility to developer to link or delink certain visuals from filtering. on the other hand filters are applied to the whole page, and normally they are hiddern to the end users. Slicers give more visibility in the selection process to the end user.
