Upgrade in Power Bi Online

Hello everyone.

I have a base and dashboard shared by a member of my organization, we both have Power BI Pro. What I want is to be able to update the base and dashboard from my account, but I don't have an option that allows me to do so. I would appreciate your help in being able to do so.

Hi @DANIELST ,

Someone shared a dashboard with you, but you want to be able to update the dataset and the dashboard, right? If so, you need to get the build permissions for the dataset that the dashboard is referencing. You can refer to the official documentation below to get the appropriate permission.

In your question above what are you referring to as base? I understand a dashboard has been shared by someone. He/She may not have given you EDIT rights on the report, therefore you are not able to make changes to it.

Check the following article and ask him/her to give you relevant permissions on the shared dashboard:
