Unable to connect to Version History of a Sharepoint list - can't authenticate credentials

Hi,

I have trouble with credentials authetification when trying to invoice custom function to get the history list from a sharepoint list. The connection to the share point works on a separate query flawlessly, but once I copy the connection and add the steps required to get a history list by invoking a custom function PowerBi will not authenticate any credentials. I've already tried several authentification types, changed the data source from list to url (won't work as I am then not able to connect to the sharepoint list) and browsed through several threads with similar problem but no suggestions I've found would work.
To share some light, the list is on the Sharepoint site of my company, the url looks like this: "https://companyname.sharepoint.com/sites/teampage"
If i try to take "https://companyname.sharepoint.com/sites/teampage/Lists" it will end up in an error.

Any ideas?

thanks!

What is the error message? You might try clearing your datasource permissions and re-entering? I've done functions vs SharePoint in desktop, but didn't experience a credential issue. It was OData queries, though.

The message is: "We could not authenticate with the credentials provided. Please try again."
I've also tried to clear permissions (although there are only 2) and got the same error. Same with a fresh report where I try to connect only to the version history.

You want the option for Microsoft account auth (or organizational, depending on where you are). You might paste in the query text and take out the tenant name too, it's not clear what you're doing from the description or how you're querying--
