Unable to Filter Main Table with Slicer Selection in Power BI Dashboard

I am facing an issue in Power BI where I am unable to filter the main table visual based on the slicer selection in my dashboard. Here are the details of my setup:

1. I have a main table visual that is populated using data from an API.
2. I have created a separate table named "DateSelection" with a column named "CurrentPeriod" that contains the available periods (in text format).
3. I have added a slicer visual using the "CurrentPeriod" column from the "DateSelection" table.
4. When I select a period from the slicer, the main table visual does not update to reflect the selected period. It remains unchanged.

I have tried the following steps but haven't been able to resolve the issue:

• Ensured that the relationship between the "CurrentPeriod" column in the "DateSelection" table and the corresponding column in the main table is established correctly.
• Verified that the "CurrentPeriod" column in both tables is of the same data type (text).
• Checked the interactions and made sure that the slicer visual is set to affect the main table visual.

I am using Power BI 2.115.663.0 64-bit (March, 2023).

I would appreciate any insights or suggestions to resolve this issue and enable the filtering of the main table visual based on the slicer selection. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

@golia , You have created a date table with all the dates and joined that with your table on Date, Join is 1-many single directional from date to fact.  Join is active

The date table has current period filter and you are using that

If interactions are on and join is active it should work
