I have successfully imported a topoJSON map into PowerBI.
I would like to know if PowerBI Desktop supports adding the topoJSON map as a layer on top of a basemap (ie. street map)?
Has anyone done it? Any feedback greatly appreciated...!
What we did was to set a real-world-map as a background picture. Very difficult to get them aligned precise, but at the end it looks okay.
What we miss, dear Microsoft, is to set the opacity of the (unselected) shapes. For now we can only select the colour of the unselected area's/shapes, or off as done below. We should be able to set opacity to show the map/picture below it. That should not be that difficult to create.
Fill colors > Colors > Blanc areas > Show blanc areas > Off

Come on. Don't do that anymore for the obvious features. Please go ahead.
"obvious" is not an actionable quantity. Number of votes for an idea is.
One map at a time. You need to combine you TopoJSON before loading it.
We did that but than the countries "below" also appear as "shapes". It is okay but not what you want. What you want is to lay it in top of a real map.
