Staff utilisiation calendar report

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to depict staff utilisation report that shows staff name, project name and utilisation visual that depicts the percentage of staff utilisation per period. Ideally, the utilisation should be visualised as a bar on calendar.

The data table looks like this:

Name   Project   Start   End  Utilisation

John Doe   Project1   20170101   20170331   75

John Foe   Project 2   20161115   20170226   100

The utilisation should be ideally depicted as in the picture (Excel screenshot) below. Any ideas, advise?

I would try Matrix as visual, dates as column, employees as rows and values would be conditional formatted.

Or try to Gantt visual from Custom gallery.

Great, that worked well (the matrix). I have created a dimensional table with dates and an additional table to expand periods, then used the matrix with conditional formatting as suggested and that worked really well. Thanks.
