Hello Everyone,
I am fairly new to PowerBI and I am trying to build a fairly simple chart but I am sort of stuck.
I am trying to plot a stacked column chart where the total of each column in the chart should add to 100% but the height of the column should be a sum of my categories. Here is an example:
Dataset:
Year make number sold
2018 | nissan | 92 |
2018 | acura | 44 |
2018 | toyota | 17 |
2019 | nissan | 57 |
2019 | acura | 18 |
2019 | toyota | 73 |
2020 | nissan | 6 |
2020 | acura | 46 |
2020 | toyota | 63 |
2021 | nissan | 90 |
2021 | acura | 84 |
2021 | toyota | 28 |
The chart that I am able to output is the following:
What I would like from the graph is % instead of sums where each column adds up to a 100% however I still want to show how the volume changed from year to year so the heights of each individual bar should remain as they are in the picture.
Here is how the final chart should look like (Different example):
Any ideas how to get this to work in PowerBI?
Thank you

Hi,
In my point of view, there are two solutions :
1- Use the %100 Stacked Column Charts for shown the % of each value(legend per year) and use tooltip page for shown the value :
2- Also there is another Visual, that could download from AppSource. Its name is "100% Stacked Column Chart with Value Label", (the Y-Axis is shown from 0 to 100 and the amount is shown on each chart):
