Split rows with same id

Hi all,

I am new to Power Bi and have a problem. I have excel data with id keys and item inventory, but when I bring the columns into the Table visual Power Bi is combining the same id keys together into a single row.

I need to be able to do calculations for specific conditions but with everything combined I cannot figure out how. Is there a way to separate these rows so I can get all the same ids individual. If not can someone work with me to make a measure calculation?

Hi @AMYYC ,

The Power BI visuals don't display duplicate rows. If you want to display all unaggregated rows in the visual, you can add the index column in the Power Query Editor, then close and apply the changes. Then select "Don't summarize" for the fields in the visual.

If you just want to add a column to calculate the value greater than 300 as 2, then you can try the following calculated column.

Column = IF( 'Table'[item inventory] > 300, 2 )

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

I have tried No Summarize and it did changed the values, but the ids were still combined.

@AMYYC

could you pls provide some sample data and expected output?

ummmm, eek, that will be hard. Let me see if I can repo the problem with some dummy data.

Is there a way to maybe do the calculation I need at the Raw Data model level? I tried a custom column but it does not appear to support IF statements.

Ultimately I want to just evaluate the items and if they are greater than 300 set a value of 2.

@AMYYC

since I didn't see any screenshot or your data, it's a little hard to understand your question and provide the proper solution
