Sorting a slicer by the sums of another column

Hi all! I am having a heck of a time finding out how to sort my slicer in order of highest to lowest of a sum in another column. I thought maybe if I was to give each one a rank and then sort by that rank it would essentially let me get the largest sums at the top and the smallest at the bottom of the list.

This is what I thought might work, but essentially if theres an easier way I just want the slicer example below to be in that order.

NameHoursRank Slicer Order
Joe81 Joe
Sam122 Sam
Bill64 John
John73 Bill
Kim35 Kim
Sam42
Joe71
John73
Joe71
Joe21
Kim25
Joe51

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

@suchomelb  Hello ,
Then you can create a conditonal column in power query.
Give conditon like this..

Slicer OrderSorting
Joe1
Sam2
Bill3
John4
Kim5

Then go to data view after loading new data using close and apply button in power query . select your slicer column then use sort by column -> select your newly created sorting column.
and Also you can sort your column by asc and Dsc using slicer 3 dot menu.
it will fulfill your requirement.
