Setting relative date filters within measures?

I have a measure that calculates cumulative open records that goes like this:

CumulativeOpen =

CALCULATE( [Initiation],

FILTER(ALL('_DateTable'),

'_DateTable'[Date] <= MAX('_DateTable'[Date]))

) -

CALCULATE( [Closure],

FILTER(ALL('_DateTable'),

'_DateTable'[Date] <= MAX('_DateTable'[Date]))

)

[Initiation] and [Closure] are measures that count records from a table that's related to the '_DateTable'.

Plotting the CumulativeOpen measure results in the purple line.

How do I modify the results so that I exclude future dates and dates that are past a threshold in the past? In this case I'm looking to only show the last 13 months or 12 calendar months.

@MorePowerBI easiest way is to add another column in your Date table called Month offset, which is the date diff between TODAY() and Date column in the data table so the current month will be always zero, and then in the filter pane (report or page or visual level) use where the offset is >= -12 and <= 0 and that will always filter for trailing 12 months. You can tweak the solution as you see fit

Forgot to mention but I already have that filter in place.

_Filter = DATEDIFF(TODAY(), _DateTable[Date], MONTH)
