QTD as of previous month and for current QTD first month then it should show previous quarter sales

Hello,

I want to display QTD as of previous month means In September, the value should be only for Jul and Aug, and for first month of every quarter I want to display previous quarter sales means In October(Q4) the previous quarter(Q3) sales should be display but again if month changes to November then sales of October should be display as it is in Q4, Can anyone give me the formula. I have tried in other ways but still not working. Please help me out in this case.
