Power bi dataset refresh

Hi all,
I need help on a below scenario:

I want to detect whenever any dataset refresh happens and send auto email to users that refresh completed.
Note : Refresh will happen from other sources and not from power bi or power automate. I just want to detect whenever refresh happens and notify users via email.

Hey,

unfortunatley based on my understanding there is no direct way to set up notifications on succesfull executions.

You can do the below aspects:

1) set up a dashbboard alert in case of change in time / data and get notified yoursleves. Then write an outlook rule to fwd it to others whenever you receive that email

2) set up a power automate that would scan every 5 min your refresh history and send an email in case of any new entry ( bad way though)

Setting up dasboard alert is not applicable in my case i think as it's a report on pbi service and not the dashboard.Please correct me if i am wrong here.

COming to power automate ,

could you please elaborate a bit how can we check the refresh status and send email if there is a refresh.
