Power BI desktop : Issue in getting data from API

Hi @community,

Need some urgent help !!!

I'm new to use PowerBI Desktop.

This subject has previously been discussed in this forum with mixed results.

Here is the previous thread:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Anonymous-access/m-p/21014#M5916

Referred it but the still Issue persists.

Issue is :

We are trying to get data in power BI desktop from API where first API call to get access token and passing that token dynamically in second API call. The problem is here. As we have to pass header as 'Authorization' with respect to the token, but its getting failed. Showing the following error

This is an anonymous call. Token is also invoking well.

This same anonymous call was working before some days. We were using trial version of PowerBI Desktop that time. Thought that could cause the issue. Now We have purchased Pro version but still facing same issue. And at that time, When it was working, after publising the report, we were facing another issue in schedule refresh also but atleast data was loading & published at that time.

We need help regarding both of issue, but for now priorly need help for the first issue i.e. What header should we use to pass the Authorization token?

Note : From API side, no option except 'Authorization' to use as header.

Please help us out for such. Can collaborate more if need anything from our side.

Hi @kiran512 ,

According to your description, here is my suggestion.

From your error message, it means that you should choose “Anonymous authentication” for the web data source.

Please open “Data Source Settings”, find the web data source, and then choose “Anonymous”.
