Power BI - Column chart is showing blank visual when we have zero as Measure value

Hello All,

We have a column chart which is working fine when we have Sales Amount greater than Zero. In some of years, we dont have Sales Amount. Sales amount measure shows zero (0) value in Tabular report but Column chart shows completely blank visual like below.

Kindly suggest to resolve the issue.

You are likely dividing by zero somewhere, or otherwise producing BLANK()

Please provide sample data (with sensitive information removed) that covers your issue or question completely, in a usable format (not as a screenshot). Leave out anything not related to the issue.

Thanks for your response.

1) We are pulling data from excel Source. Below is the sample data:

Year	Region	SalesAmt
2021	India	450
2021	UK	0
2021	USA	560
2022	India	0
2022	UK	550
2022	USA	600
2023	India	950
2023	UK	660
2023	USA	0

In the above data, Sales Amt is 0 for some of the criteria. e.g. Year - 2021 , Region - UK, SalesAmt is 0

2) When we run the report for all regions, Chart shows columns & theirs values per excel sheet. Below is screenshot:

Note- Tabular visual is here just for explaination. In actual report, it will chart only.

3) When we select a criteria e.g Year -2021, Region - UK then Chart becomes blank.

3) Our client want to show some meaningful message in case chart is blank. e.g.
