Hello,
Question:
I have a Power BI report with subscription perfectly setup and ready to go.
I want to create a flow using Power Automate to:
1) Wait to receive an email with a specific subject (ie: Sales Database has finished updating)
2) Refresh PowerBI dataset (this part is done and its working)
3) Run the Power BI subscription (not working).
I can use an alternate method, and finish the flow using (Send an Email) with Power Automate. However, I need a thumbnail of the report results, like the thumbnail in PowerBI.
So my questions are:
1) How do I run a PowerBI Report subscription in Power Automate?
or
2) How do I attached:
a) Screen shot of the Report BI report in the thumbnail? OR
b) Attached 1st page of a PDF, PPTX, or PNG, embedded in the body of the email?
I've looked around everywhere and cant find a solution. Anyone help?
Thank you all,
Peter
I'm trying to do the same. You can create the subscription with Frquency 'After data refresh (once daily)'. This is nearly what you want, when the dataset is refreshed the email is sent from Power BI (nice). However, it's the 'once daily' that makes it limiting. If you have a 2nd refresh within 24hrs of the first it will wait before sending the email. The requirement to send every time data is updated (not after 24hrs or even 1hr) is just not considered.
Hi, sorry.
I need something more complex than that. I need a thumbnail view when I attach a powerbi report using power automate.
Thank you!
Peter
