ODBC Data source Error

Hello,

 

I am getting the following error when I try to connect power BI using ODBC method. Can you please try to help me?

 

 DataSource.Error: ODBC: ERROR[42000][Transoft][TSODBC][usqlsd]unknown statement (!)

 

Details:

   DataSourceKind=Odbc

   DataSourcePath=dsn=SouthWare-US

   OdbcErrors=Table

Hi, i am trying to get i information from a Odbc from As400 query but i have an error message..is seem be is no possible connect to Odbc. somebody can help me..i m new in PBI tks

If there is no syntax error with your SQL statement, do not specify it and use the Navigator window instead.

HI, I am also facing the same issue while loading the preview of a table. I am also using ODBC connection. Could you please elaborate on the solution. What you mean by Navigator window ?


One of the columns of the data contains localized data. Is that causing issue?

I don't see the option to connect ODBC using the powerBI online version.

You can import your Power BI Desktop file into your Power BI site. See https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-get-data/.
