O365 Billing Licenses - how to query valid licenses (available)

In the portal: https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home#/licenses  You can see how many licenses you have valid vs assigned (available to use vs licenses assigned).  Valid - Assigned = Purchased but not yet assigned.

Anyway, is there anyway to query that Valid number?  The o365 adoption pack shows me assigned licenses, but I don't have anyway to know that we purchased 1,000 and assigned 999 so we ONLY have a single license left (and thus likely need to order more so we don't run out and have to wait for a new order to process).

Can this be pulled via an AD query or other data source?
