Number format when importing from CSV

Hi Community, 

I am struggling with crazy formatting of numbers when importing from csv.

What happens is that multiple extra zeros get added at the end of (some) numbers, without an apparent logic (I am sure PBI has one though :)) - so that in the table they even appear with the esponential notation.

I read this might be an issue with the .csv itself, any trick or way around ? It does not seem to me that it is fixable in the query editor...

As said no, the problem is not the decimal which of course I can simply remove or round. It addes extra zeros (e.g., if I divide a column by 10 or 100 I would get the right number)

maybe you should use local formatting like this:

Please provide example of the data with the issue and what you want it to look like.  It can likely be fixed in the query editor.

E.g. a number which should look like 4,058,931 becomes 405,893,081.00

If all the #s end in .00 then you can just convert the column to a whole number data type.  If not .00, you can highlight the column and round it using the button on the transform tab.
