Multiple OR expression

Hello,
My goal is to set a measure which filters only rows whose
either ITEM_TYPE is not equal to "STORAGE"

or STATUS = "Status 1"

or STATUS = "Status 2"

or STATUS = "Status 3"

If any an item got any of those criteria, it shouldn't be counted. So far I came up with this but it doesn't work quite good

COUNTROWS (
    FILTER (
        'FACT_TABLE',
        [ITEM_TYPE] <> "STORAGE"
            || [STATUS] <> "Status 1"
            || [STATUS] <> "Status 2"
            || [STATUS] <> "Status 3"
    )
)
Tried also to get those STATUS OR's in brackets but it gives same result

Hi @Pbiuserr ,

According to your description, here are my steps you can follow as a solution.

(1) This is my test data.

vtangjiemsft_0-1682389712289.png

(2) We can create a measure.

Measure = COUNTROWS(FILTER(ALLSELECTED('Table'),'Table'[ITEM_TYPE]="STORAGE" && 'Table'[STATUS] <>"Status 1" &&'Table'[STATUS] <>"Status 2" &&'Table'[STATUS] <>"Status 3"))

or:

Measure = COUNTROWS(FILTER(ALLSELECTED('Table'),'Table'[ITEM_TYPE]="STORAGE" && 'Table'[STATUS] in {"Status 1" ,"Status 2" ,"Status 3"}=FALSE()))

(3) Then the result is as follows.

If the above one can't help you get the desired result, please provide some sample data in your tables (exclude sensitive data) with Text format and your expected result with backend logic and special examples. It is better if you can share a simplified pbix file. Thank you.

Please try this pattern instead.

NewMeasure =
CALCULATE (
    COUNTROWS ( 'FACT_TABLE' ),
    NOT ( 'FACT_TABLE'[ITEM_TYPE] IN { "STORAGE", "Status 1", "Status 2", "Status 3" } )
)

Status 1-3 is column [Status], do I need to mention it somewhere?
