Hello Power Bi Community,
I have a unique datasource from in Power Bi desktop. Appearing as 7+ reports in power bi online. (Firstly, I uploaded one single file, then clicked "Save a copy" in Power Bi Online, which each one derives for the proper viewer).
When I do update and republish the desktop file, the message is "Replacing this dataset may impact: [numberOfFiles] files", that is exactly what I want. The thing is, that the datasource of each file, is indeed changing, but the visuals' changes remain untouched. (e.g a previous line chart turned to a updated bar chart). Is it possible to auto-change the visuals when updating the datasource desktop?
Regards.

Visual will never change for those copies, you need to change particular visual individually using Edit reports.
If you change the report name from PBI Desktop with the same name (2nd report in service) and publish it on Service, a new dataset with the same name will be created and a new report with the same name will come under Workspace.
Although any removal of column/measure from the underlying dataset may cause visual error on that report.
