Long delay in processing updates and power qerry operations

Hello everybody,

I have a dashboard that contains data from SQL server and data with about 6 excel folders saved in sharepoint (Total 6Mb).

In other words, everything is online!

However, I am having a big problem with the total update taking about 20 minutes to complete the update!
And also when I am editing in power query it takes the same time to create a column, or update the view of a table for example,
any operation in power query takes that long, I already tried to increase the computer memory, run in more powerful computer, but the delay is the same!

I made the following tests:

I removed the data from SQL server leaving only the sharepoint data.
Result: Any update did not pass more than 30seconds.

I removed the sharepoint data leaving only the SQL data.
Result: Any refresh would not take longer than 30seconds.

I took the data from sharepoint and saved to the desktop to run on the machine
Result: Any update took no more than 30seconds.

Conclusion: The only problem is that when joining all the SQL and Sharepoint data, even if it is not heavy, the delay is huge!

Anybody already experienced this or can advise me what to do?

PS: I use Workspace Premium capacity!

Don't merge your data sources in Power Query. Use the data model to join your tables.
