Issue with login Power BI Desktop: an error has occurred in the script on this page

I am getting the following error when trying to log in with my credentials in power bi destkop:

I have already re-installed power bi desktop, I cleared all my browsers cookies and cache, re-installed google which is my default browser and the error still continues. After this error power bi desktop does not login nor respond to any command.

Hi @Anonymous,

I think this should be more related to your device settings, they may block the http requests and the modules or libraries that the request used.

You can check the firewall and policy settings to confirm these:

Add Power BI URLs to allowlist - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Hi @Anonymous , hope you are having a great day. Have you installed it thru Microsoft store? Have you try it to press No? If so, what happened? Found a previous post with a similar error and it seems it happens when Power BI is updated. Script error when opening desktop

Hi Ronald, thank you so much for your answer.

Yes, I have tried downloading through microsoft store and I get the same error. When I click No, it does not log in with my user, I can only work without being logged with my user which will eventually block me from publishing my work in any workspace or sharing it.

Honestly, I've tried pretty much everything I've found in forums and nothing has worked... is there a way I can elevate this to microsoft customer service or similar?
