Import multiple templates into one pbix file

I have multiple people who have created their own templates in Power BI and I would like to have them in one file.

Is it possible to import multiple Power BI templates into a single pbix file?

They're all just one page reports so I'd just want to see them as separate pages as opposed to reports.

Or is there another way I can do this?

Hi @bo_afk ,

You cannot import multiple templates on a PBIX file since every template create a new file.

You can as a workaround select all visualizations on the page and make a copy paste on the ither report.

This can cause some errors if the database is different but for now is the workaround.

Thanks for your suggestion @MFelix. Do you know how I would be able to bring in measures as well?

Importing a template also includes measures which I liked.

Hi @bo_afk ,

you can do it following the post on Excelerator

@MFelix Would this be the best approach if I wanted to combine/merge multiple pbix files into one? each file has its own dataset, visuals and measures.

Hi @bo_afk ,

this is the possible approach since you cannot make the import of several templates to a single file. You need to make sure that the columns and measure are matching and probably in some of the cases you will need to make adjustments.

One question why do you want to make this all together in a single report?

If you want to share it with the users on a single report even having several reports the best way maybe is to add them all in the same workspace and then create an app with all the reports, for the end user will seem as a single report with several pages.

Check the documentation on publishing apps.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-create-distribute-apps

What's also cool on this is that you can create groups and subgroups and also add additional linksd to web pages or other things.
