Hi
I'm using a data source (Excel) that is shared by a few people, it's a project Work In Process sheet.
It's often the case that filters get applied by a user in the data source that of course then impacts the data which goes into powerbi - Does anyone know of a way to automatically remove any filters prior to an import as I'd like to schedule it to run automatically and not have to worry that someone has left filters on...
Or has anyone found a way around this? I don't know for sure but sometimes when using a file through SharePoint/teams it asks you if you want to apply filters to everyone or just to your view... Is there a permission that might mean any filtering is local/just for the user to see, and not applied to the original doc?
Hi @jameshoneywill ,
I tested it in power bi and power bi gets all the data from sharepiont instead of the filtered data. I'm sorry I wasn't able to reproduce your problem.
As you said, it is view but not the underlying data. When you connect the excel file, power bi will import the whole file.
Best Regards
