Image is rotating in powerbi ?

Hi Team,

We are facing a series issue in powerBI !
I have a created dashboard where we make analysis through the image.
The issue faced while using the URL's :

  • Image is rotating automatically as it is imported to powerBI
  • used all types of image viewer i.e image viewer, chicklet slicer, simple images resulting in the same a rotated image.

I Request developers to look into the above issue.
further, anything required like sample data set will happy to help

Hi, @User2020

This is most likely a problem with the image source itself.

For the issue, I cannot reproduce it here.

Maybe you can refer to this article:

https://sirv.com/help/resources/rotate-photos-to-be-upright/

Hope it will be helpful for you.

Experiencing same issue on my side. I've uploaded the image on Dropbox and both locally and in dropbox the image looks ok, the only place where is different is in PBI. Not sure what to do at this point.

Note that there are 2 ways of rotating images (see https://www.howtogeek.com/254830/why-your-photos-dont-always-appear-correctly-rotated/) so it's possible that these images you are using were only rotated using the EXIF metadata. If you could provide some examples of images with this issue we could see if this is the problem

Posting an example dataset would definitely help here. I just did a quick double check and I don't see this sort of behaviour with any of my images.
