I want to seach and rename data in a column

For example, I have lots of data in a column and would like to rename all data that contains ENG to Engineering, OP to Operations, MNT to Maintenance, everthing else to Other. How do I begin this?

Hi @klb0066,

You can add a conditional column in Query Editor.

You have to open "Edit Queries" (Power QUery) and there is a button "replace value" available there.

Then you hit "Close and Apply"

I don't want to necessarily replace them, I just want to group them so I can use that new column as a filter to drill down.

I have tried this. text.contain creates an error. I cannot figure it out

Could you show a sample of your data, specify your data types and the error message that you get ?
