How to transfer a PBIX to a client

I am preparing for a new client and am looking at the best way to transfer the PBIX solution to the client.

I am using Desktop free but will likely move to Pro. The client is a large company and will likely have security concerns about allowing me to link to data sources but I am not yet sure about that. So... what is the hierarchy of best ways to attach/acquire their data if I ultimately wish to transfer the PBIX file to them?

I presume that attaching directly to client data sources is preferred. Will the PBIX solution work if I then send it to them?

Considering the possible security concerns - should I get exports of their data sets and put them in folders and attach to the folders? Should I set parameters to assist in reattaching data? Should I just edit M Code?

This will be the 1st time I have met this challenge and it will be a significant step forward in my learning process. I appreciate and thoughts that people can provide for setting up a solution that can be easily transferred.

Thank you!

@Dave-ExpSC ,

You can develop the pbix with your access and send the pbix file. After that he can connect to the sources with the proper user/environment.

You can take a use of parameters for that, so once it's published you just need to change the parameter values.
