Dear All,
I have the below scenario:
data Model as below:
I have two transaction tables (fact) as Fact G and Fact P.
Now my requirement is to create analysis as
In the model Supplier and Date are the confirmed Dimensions.
from Fact G:-
Quantity and Cost by Region By Type and same from Fact P as well " Quantity, cost By Region By Type".
Could someone please help to archive it by writing DAX
Help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Sonu
Hi, @sonuojha1 , by intuition, I think Expanded Table might come to your rescue; I tried with your data model but with more mockup data. It seems to work to me. You might want to see the attached file for more details.
Thanks to the great efforts by MS engineers to simplify syntax of DAX! Most beginners are SUCCESSFULLY MISLED to think that they could easily master DAX; but it turns out that the intricacy of the most frequently used RANKX() is still way beyond their comprehension! |
DAX is simple, but NOT EASY! |
@sonuojha1 , take type (fact G) , from common take supplier, date, and Qty and Cost as measures from both table and try.
I doubt you can get a correct answer for that.
@amitchandakNo, I don't want to combine all in single report. Just want to create a measure so that I can use that in different visuals.
Is there any way to get Type column by using RELATED. I understand related works with direct joined table/ or by using LOOKUPVALUE. Kindly suggest and help.
