How to apply a cross filter to a slicer?

I don't know how I haven't come across this before...

But... does cross filtering not apply to slicers?

That is if you have

1) a graph showing the total sales for Products A and B
2) A slicer with all products listed (ie. A and B)

If you click on A in the graph, the filter still shows A and B?

Surely there is a workaround for this? Advice appreciated.

Hey @Kaycee,

this will not work. The reason is more or less simple - slicers are different. Selections inside a chart will not be passed (or captured, a matter of perspective) to the slicer.
Slicers will be only affected if two slicers are using the same table or if a table will be cross filtered based on the cross filter direction "Both" configured for one or more relationships.

The product color filter the customer countries via the fact sales table be aware that the cross filter direction "Both" is often tried to be avoided, as this can introduce model ambiguity.

Regards,

Tom
