I'm creating my first PowerBI report. I am new to PowerBI report creation but have been creating reports and using SQL Server since 1998, though not as my full-time job.
Here's the thing. We recently were given access to a data warehouse repository using Amazon Redshift. When I connect PowerBI to the Redshift instace,, the data come over fine, except for one column from one table. This is an ID field, a foreign key to a table. However, when I connect it via PowerBI, the table appears as a sum.
It should not be a calculated field. I cannot see a way to "unsum" the field. Using a direct conneciton SQL query on Redshift, I get teh field as an ID, as I expect.
What am I missing?
Thanks!
Here's what that same query looks like when run on PowerBI. The ID field is "Count of Pollworker ID" in PoweBI and is listed as 1.
