Hi @jackson_perry

Thanks for posting your query; let’s help you.

Troubleshooting Solutions Quickbooks Keeps crashing unexpectedly windows 11/10 after update:

  1. Update QuickBooks: Ensure that you're using the latest version of QuickBooks compatible with Windows 10. Developers often release updates to address compatibility issues and enhance stability.
  2. Check System Requirements: Verify that your system meets the minimum requirements for running QuickBooks on Windows 10. Insufficient system resources can lead to crashes.
  3. Run QuickBooks in Compatibility Mode: Right-click on the QuickBooks shortcut or executable file, go to Properties > Compatibility tab, and select an earlier Windows version like Windows 8 or Windows 7. This can sometimes resolve compatibility conflicts.
  4. Disable Add-ons/Extensions: If you have any third-party add-ons or extensions installed in QuickBooks, disable them temporarily and check if the crashes persist. Sometimes, incompatible add-ons can cause instability.
  5. Repair QuickBooks Installation: Navigate to Control Panel > Programs and Features, select QuickBooks from the list, and choose the Repair option. This will attempt to fix any corrupted files that may be triggering the crashes.
  6. Update Windows: Make sure your operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install any available updates. Patching your system can resolve underlying issues that may be causing QuickBooks to crash.
  7. Update Device Drivers: Ensure that your device drivers, especially graphics and chipset drivers, are up to date. Outdated or corrupt drivers can lead to software instability. Visit the manufacturer's website to download and install the latest drivers compatible with Windows 10.
  8. Check for QuickBooks Compatibility Issues: Consult QuickBooks' official website or support resources to check if there are any known compatibility issues with your specific version of QuickBooks and Windows 10. They may offer specific guidance or patches to address such issues.
