How can i get a continuous line between points if there is no data for a period?

Hi, i have a couple of charts where i have date for some months and not others, how can i join two points with a line when there is no data, for example the highlighted sections below, to create a continuous orange line?

the field behind the values is a mesaure, is there a way to add to this if the value is null take the previous months value? so that it will fill in the nulls?
